Wellington (Fri 05/18, Sun 05/20) - Division rivals and winners of the 2006 season Bradenton Academics are affiliated with the prestigious IMG sports academy and are likely to have a squad made up primarily of their alumni. Five of their Soccer Academy alumni this year were drafted in the 2007 MLS Super and Supplemental Drafts. All five players were members of the Bradenton Athletics, The Soccer Academy’s USL-PDL summer league team, two players being fulltime students at the Academy
The Cary RailHawks, formally the Raleigh Elite is jointly operated by the USL First Division team Carolina RailHawks and Next Level Academy Organizations. Last saw six players from Cary drafted into the MLS.
Bradenton comes this weekend to the Pumas with a 1-1-0 season whereas the Cary RailHawks come with a 0-1-1 season. Previous encounters between the sides have seen close fought games and this weekend promises to be no different...
