Pumas to Conduct their 2nd Annual Summer Youth Outreach Camps

Lake Worth, Fl – The Palm Beach Pumas Youth Soccer Academy announce the start of their Youth Outreach Summer Soccer Camps on Monday, June 6th at 30 different locations throughout Palm Beach County.   The PDL Puma players will be giving instruction to the children under the direction of the coaching staff.  The purpose of the camp is to introduce the game to children that do not have the financial ability to participate in local organized youth soccer programs.   The coaches also identify children that have extra enthusiasm and ability for the game so they can participate in advanced development programs.

Starting October 1, the Academy will create six soccer after school programs with in a 2 year period.  The After school Programs will be located at Beacon Centers in Belle Glade, Pahokee, Riviera Beach, West Palm Beach and Delray.

The purpose of the program is to use soccer as a vehicle to teach life to children. The ultimate goal is to advance as many  student-athletes as possible into college soccer.  The program leadership envisions that a number of these future stars will become professionals, but more importantly, the measurement of success will be how many of our alumni graduate from college and give back to the community.

The Academy has programs that promote balance in young people’s lives:

Academic Assistance, Diversity Education, Life Skills, Social Services Support, Family and Parent Participation, Environmental Education, Culture (Art, Dance and Music)

The Academy will make further announcements as the summer progresses.
