Talented Raleigh Elite To Test Pumas at Village Park

VS.
Wellington, Fl - National power Raleigh Elite visits the Pumas this Saturday, 6pm at Village Park in Wellington. The game location has been changed from the International Polo Club to Village Park due to maintenance on the polo field.

Raleigh Elite is packed with talent from NCAA Atlantic Coast Conference programs. The program has several NCAA All-Americans and US U20 National Team players. Most of their players on the 2006 Roster have returned from the 2005 squad that finished 8-4-3 in one of the leagues toughest divisions. The season included a win 3-1 over the Pumas at Raleigh’s SAS Stadium. Raleigh has played only one game this season that resulted in a 1-1 draw to the Nashville Metros. The program has had 2 weeks off, using the time as an important preseason fitness program. The Elite play 3 games this week starting with Augusta, Ga. at home on Wednesday and then traveling to the Cocoa Expo before visiting Palm Beach on Saturday. “Playing quality teams is what the PDL is about. We look forward to the challenge and will be focused for the task. This game provides a great opportunity for local youth players to watch some of the top level college players in the country,” said Coach Bobby Lennon.
